What a crazy summer we had! June was kind of a laid-back month where we kept busy at home with our summer charts and activities. July started out crazy and stayed super busy. In August we tried to fit some more fun in before school started. Here are a few of the things we did.
We went bowling with the Burches
Splashed at the splash park in Rexburg
Played with kitties at Grandma's house
Enjoyed our new picnic table
At Grandma's house -
"Mom can we get just a little wet in the sprinkler?"
"I guess if you don't get soaked. I didn't bring extra clothes." (I said this about five times.)
"Don't worry. We'll dry out!"
This happened ten minutes later with his Triston and Connor.
Had lunch in the park
Made marshmallow Sculptures
Read lots and lots and lots!
We found a new way to have peaceful car rides. Make sure everyone has a good book to read and they stay quiet for hours!
Grandma came for a visit and brought a treat!
Quinton took us on a guided hike at Ross Park.
Sawyer got his binky taken away for good and we all survived.
We sculpted with chocolate.
Took several trips to the library, and saw the animal exhibit at the end of the summer.
Painted new signs for their rooms.
And got some new roommates! Shari, Triston, and Connor moved in a week before school starts. Shari started the counseling program at ISU and we decided we would give living together a shot. The kids have sure loved it. Here they all are watching a movie together with Danielle (not a roomy, just a neighbor.)
