Thanksgiving 2014

Isn't Fall a great time of year? I wish it lasted longer. The cooler temperature, beautiful leaves, and the best holidays of the year make it the best time.

Sawyer is growing so fast! Here he is at 5 months. He loves his jumper and when he gets excited his little legs pump really fast! He was not super thrilled when he tried rice cereal the first time.

We spent Thanksgiving in Oakley and went the day after into the hills to find a Christmas tree. There was a lot of snow and it was tricky driving around in it. Warren really is not a fan of the snow!

After getting our tree we went for a quick trip to Rigby because my nephew Steven went through the Idaho Falls temple for the first time. It was really nice. And then afterward we had lunch at Grandma Packer's house with all of the Summers kids there. It had been a long time and it was great to have all 6 siblings and their kids together!

Quinton's 7th Birthday

I've been telling Quinton for years to stop getting older and he just won't listen to me! So to his mother's dismay, we celebrated his 7th birthday anyway. He got a Plants Vs. Zombies pancake breakfast, then popped his traditional birthday money balloons (while trying to plug his ears). We went to Boise and had a blast at PoJo's, one of his favorite places, and ended the night watching the Lego Movie. His cake is a Wall-Nut from Plants vs. Zombies that Barry made. We sure love Quinton. He is such a smart, talented kid with a soft heart for his family. He is often writing notes to us and can be very helpful when he's in a good mood. He definitely has intense focus when getting things done. Here's to another good year!

Halloween 2014

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays around here. We're all excited about getting dressed up and the kids can't wait to collect their hoards of candy. We went with a Plants vs. Zombies theme (Quinton loves the game) and I think we looked pretty great! Quinton was a bucket-head zombie, Clara a flower, Warren a peashooter, Sawyer a sunshroom, Barry was Crazy Dave, and I was a cone-head zombie.

Grandma and Grandpa Packer visited us for a couple days in October and Grandma got roped into doing a whole bunch of Halloween crafts with the kids.

We made Quinton and Clara do some of the dirty work this  year. (And I forgot to get pictures of the pumpkins actually carved. Oops.)

We went to a party and trunk or treat at the church. And the best part was that Shari, Triston, and Connor drove all the way here to spend Halloween with us! Ashlee Jenks brought her boys, too, and we went around to houses after the church. The kids got a ton of candy! 

The next day we went to the aquarium in Boise with Shari and the boys. The kids were all very tired from Halloween the night before, but we still managed to have a fun trip to see the fish.
