August

Summer finally slowed down a little in August and we spent some time at home.

Clara got way too many books at the library with her friends.

Quinton read to Luna.

Barry went fishing in Wyoming with Charles and Jared and Bryant.

We played at the park and Lagoon and with friends.

The boys did a drink/cookie stand. 

I let Clara drive in the church parking lot!

I made oodles of school lunches.

And we went to the Windridge school carnival!

 

Back to School

School started kind of early this year, but we were ready for it! We took the kids each on a date to get some new clothes, met teachers, and made it out the door. 

Quinton is at Davis High School now and they start early at 7:30, which is not easy. He's got a good group of friends and some fun classes, though. 

Clara is a king freshman at Kaysville Junior High.

Warren has Mrs. Burton for 6th grade and Sawyer has Mrs. Payne, who are both great. They are pros at the elementary school thing.

And Miles started the week after them going to all-day kindergarten! He did such a great job and has two great teachers, Mrs. Bellomy and Mrs. Lyon. 

I'm glad for awesome teachers and good friends to make school a good experience for our kids.

 

Adams Canyon

Hikes together are my favorite thing. It's nice especially on Sundays to get out and do a little one nearby. The little waterfall at Adams Canyon is perfect for it.

Davis 5K

Quinton and Clara joined the cross country team this year! They had a local race to get everyone ready for the season and our family joined. Everyone did a great job!

 

Huckleberries!

This was the best year ever for huckleberries at our special spot! We made a trip of it and took Gimli to stay the night at a nearby campground. We picked all day and ended up with about six quarts of huckleberries. We shopped a little at the Park City outlets on our way home.
