Christmas 2014

We had an amazing Christmas this year! In Mountain Home we went to the (very short) Christmas parade in town, mailed letters to Santa, went caroling with our friends the Framptons, saw Home Alone at the movie theater in town and met Santa, had a branch party, and made gingerbread nativities. After celebrating Clara's birthday we spent a couple days in Rigby. On Saturday I went to the Hobbit in the morning with my mom, sisters, Johnathan, and Bryce. Saturday night Barry and I went out to celebrate our 8th anniversary with dinner at Da Pineapple Grill and mini golf at Fat Cats. Sunday after church I was able to see some of my good friends that I hadn't seen in a long time - Megan, Erin, and Cachea.
Then on Monday we went down to Utah with Shari and her boys and Grandma and Grandpa Packer. We stopped at Krispy Kreme and then went to City Creek mall where we looked around, had dinner, and Barry met a BYU basketball player. Then we met a lot of our Jenks family at temple square to see the beautiful lights. Bryant, Amy, Sarah, and Dallas were all there. It was great! That night we stayed with Amy and Jared at their house in Bluffdale. The kids got to see all of their animals. On Tuesday we went with Amy, Jared, and my family to a BYU basketball game. It was a lot of fun! We were all ready to go back and celebrate Christmas, though. On Wednesday, Christmas Eve, we went and saw Santa Claus, played by my uncle Dennis Summers at the Grand Teton Mall. That night we opened some presents and saw our other favorite Santa and the kids acted out the nativity. Christmas morning was nice and the kids seemed to love their presents. I'm just sad it's all over and we have to wait another year for Christmas to come back.

Clara's 6th Birthday

The little princess in our house turned six this year! It's hard to believe. She is such a wonderful girl and brings such sweet cuteness into a house full of rowdy boys. She is doing amazing at school and already reading quite a bit. She loves anything arts and craftsy and would decorate the world in rainbows and pink glitter if she could. She is a good helper to her mom, especially with her little brothers.
Her birthday was on the last day of school before Christmas break. She had Christmas shaped crepes for breakfast before school. She really wanted to celebrate with her cousins and grandparents in Rigby so we left that afternoon for Idaho Falls and had dinner and played at Leo's Place. We attempted to make a Frozen snowflake cake for her out of rice Krispies, and she didn't seem to mind too much its lack of professional quality. It was a great day!

Thanksgiving 2014

Isn't Fall a great time of year? I wish it lasted longer. The cooler temperature, beautiful leaves, and the best holidays of the year make it the best time.

Sawyer is growing so fast! Here he is at 5 months. He loves his jumper and when he gets excited his little legs pump really fast! He was not super thrilled when he tried rice cereal the first time.

We spent Thanksgiving in Oakley and went the day after into the hills to find a Christmas tree. There was a lot of snow and it was tricky driving around in it. Warren really is not a fan of the snow!

After getting our tree we went for a quick trip to Rigby because my nephew Steven went through the Idaho Falls temple for the first time. It was really nice. And then afterward we had lunch at Grandma Packer's house with all of the Summers kids there. It had been a long time and it was great to have all 6 siblings and their kids together!

Quinton's 7th Birthday

I've been telling Quinton for years to stop getting older and he just won't listen to me! So to his mother's dismay, we celebrated his 7th birthday anyway. He got a Plants Vs. Zombies pancake breakfast, then popped his traditional birthday money balloons (while trying to plug his ears). We went to Boise and had a blast at PoJo's, one of his favorite places, and ended the night watching the Lego Movie. His cake is a Wall-Nut from Plants vs. Zombies that Barry made. We sure love Quinton. He is such a smart, talented kid with a soft heart for his family. He is often writing notes to us and can be very helpful when he's in a good mood. He definitely has intense focus when getting things done. Here's to another good year!
