August

August is always an interesting combination of fitting in the last days of summer and preparing to begin school. Warren went to a party in the mountains with his friends.

Barry harvested a ton of grapes this year.

We took the sponge/balloon launchers to the church for a little fun with friends.

We did back to school shopping dates with the kids.

The boys tried to sell cards again.

After feeling sick for so long I really wanted to do something when they went back to school, so I remodeled the fireplace area.

Quinton went backpacking with some friends. 

East Canyon Half Marathon

We ran the East Canyon Half Marathon! It was a fun and beautiful race near Morgan. It was Sawyer's first half and he, Clara, and Warren all did a great job. They trained all summer and it really paid off. Warren finished at 1:44, Sawyer was 1:50, and Clara 2:08.

With how sick was with pneumonia I couldn't do many long training runs. I took it really easy for the race, but I'm grateful I finished.

We did a couple training runs down Emigration Canyon.

I got soaked on a training run one day.

All 3 kids placed in their age groups! Quinton and Miles came to cheer for us.

 

Back to School

This is probably going to be the craziest year of school yet. Quinton is a senior in his last year of high school and Sawyer is in his last year of elementary. It's pretty surreal to be in this point of life. 

 

Cecret Lake Hike

We went with the Rawlings on a hike to Cecret Lake near Alta. We enjoy being with them and I've wanted to go hear ever since Melissa told me about it. It was gorgeous.
