Lagoon VIPKid Day

This summer was a little extra busy as I began working as a teacher for VIPKid. I teach English online to kids in China. It has been a huge blessing to our family to have some extra income. The hiring process was a little nerve wracking and it took some time to get my schedule filled, but I am now working 1-2 hours 6 days per week. The hardest part is to teach on Beijing time I have to get up VERY early. I've been teaching 5:30 to 7:00. I've never been a morning person, so it is a bit of an adjustment, but it's good. We went to a VIPKid lunch at Lagoon one day. It was fun to meet the other teachers and get some prizes. I added a couple of my profile pictures.

Miles 9 Months

Taking pictures of Miles at 9 months was pretty much impossible. He does not hold still! So most of the shots I got look like the first one. By the time I set him down and went to snap the photo, he was gone! He is also discovering how to get into cupboards, drawers, and everything else!

Collective Soul Concert

I gave Barry tickets to a Collective Soul/3 Doors Down concert for his birthday, and the day finally came for us to go! It was at the fair, so we were able to go early and enjoy fair food. The weather was beautiful and it was no nice to do something out of the ordinary. It was nice of my mom to watch the kids so we could go.

Lagoon with Cousins

A lot of our summer was spent at Lagoon. It was so fun that Shari and her boys had season tickets too so they could join us whenever they came down.

Sawyer Goes to Preschool

The day finally came for Sawyer to go to preschool! He has been so excited to go. He is attending the community preschool at Kaysville Elementary on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. He loves going every day and always asks, "Do I have school today?" Miles and I get 5 hours a week all to ourselves!

Jenks Get Together

Charles and Carolyn were in town one Saturday, which happened to be Charles's birthday, so everyone surprised him with a birthday celebration. We had lunch at a park to celebrate. The kids were excited to see their cousins for awhile.  Callie is about three and a half months younger than Miles.
