Memorial Day Camping

We were very excited to head to Scout Mountain for our first camp-out of the year. We even fixed up our tent trailer a bit in preparation. There's still some work to do like putting on new counter tops, but it sure feels a lot nicer!

We had hot dogs, marshmallows, pancakes, and tinfoil dinners, but Sawyer just went for the jar of peanut butter.

Saturday morning we went for a hike at Cherry Springs. It was a nice, easy trail. The kids just loved finding snail shells.

We were so excited to have Grandma and Grandpa Packer join us for dinner that night. Grandma blew bubbles and Grandpa whittled sticks for the boys. It was nice to have them for a bit before we went fishing at Hawkins Reservoir that evening.

We saw a moose and some deer along the way and bided our time by eating Cheetos.

And Barry caught a few fish!
The plan was to go to church on Sunday and stay camping one more night, but when we got back to the campsite it started pouring and pouring rain. We didn't have any outside shelter and we were going crazy in the trailer so we went home a day early.

School's Out!

We are learning that the end of the school year is a very busy time. Quinton, Clara, and Warren had all sorts of activities. Quinton had an art walk displaying all of his projects. He's pretty talented!

Warren had a little program for the moms at his preschool. He learned a lot this year and so did Mom about trying to get him to like school.

Here is Quinton and Clara on the last day of school. They've grown so much! They also had a 100 Mile Club assembly. They worked hard to get their miles. Quinton had 73 miles and Clara had over 50!

Barry turns 33!

This handsome guy had a birthday! We had a date night that week and went mini-golfing and to Texas Roadhouse. I was even nice enough to let the birthday boy win!

We tried to make his presents fun this year. He loved the cinnamon bears hiding in the egg holder, Pie Face, and the birthday money scavenger hunt.

Pie Face is super intense. Luckily, Quinton was the only one to get hit. Twice!

Sleeping Out

One weekend we spent at home it was warm enough for the kids to sleep on the trampoline. They slept in super late and had a hard time waking up, but they were happy to be outside.

I love taking pictures of Barry being all manly around the house. He fixed a picnic table I bought for our deck.

And Sawyer is always nearby doing his thing.

Clara and I went to Mackayla's ballet recital that night. She's so talented!

Split Weekend

On May 5, Barry took Warren and Quinton on a fun little camp-out to celebrate Warren giving up his thumb sucking. They went with Jesse, Max, and Taysom Jaramillo and spent the night in a cave. The boys had a lot of fun despite the mice and bats. It was a good thing their mothers weren't around.

While they were gone, I took Clara and Sawyer on Saturday down to Utah. Grandpa Packer had been checked back into the Huntsman Cancer Institute when they found a mass in his stomach. Not a fun reason to go down, but we wanted to see them. We took Grandma Packer out to the Old Spaghetti Factory for a Mother's Day dinner. Sawyer LOVED the ice cream at the end. And we all love Grandpa!

We also made cards for Grandpa Packer.

Fun Moments

We spent a Saturday in Utah looking at vans and also having lunch with Barry's family at Nancy's house. After we got back in Pocatello we stopped at Outer Limits.
