Memorial Day Camping

We were very excited to head to Scout Mountain for our first camp-out of the year. We even fixed up our tent trailer a bit in preparation. There's still some work to do like putting on new counter tops, but it sure feels a lot nicer!

We had hot dogs, marshmallows, pancakes, and tinfoil dinners, but Sawyer just went for the jar of peanut butter.

Saturday morning we went for a hike at Cherry Springs. It was a nice, easy trail. The kids just loved finding snail shells.

We were so excited to have Grandma and Grandpa Packer join us for dinner that night. Grandma blew bubbles and Grandpa whittled sticks for the boys. It was nice to have them for a bit before we went fishing at Hawkins Reservoir that evening.

We saw a moose and some deer along the way and bided our time by eating Cheetos.

And Barry caught a few fish!
The plan was to go to church on Sunday and stay camping one more night, but when we got back to the campsite it started pouring and pouring rain. We didn't have any outside shelter and we were going crazy in the trailer so we went home a day early.
