May

May was a crazy month! Here are a few other things we did.

Miles gave a great talk in church.

Clara went to the mall with her friends.

The kids helped in the yard.

We had a couple trips to the temple. 

We went to the Heritage Festival in Kaysville.

Quinton went to see the trains with the young men.

And Sawyer got a haircut he desperately needed!

 

Memorial Day in Oakley

We spent Memorial Day in Oakley this year. The Jenks had a special gathering to honor Devaughn and his new headstone. It was really neat to have most of the family there for the special day. The kids always love spending time with their cousins.

 

End of School

The kids were so happy for school to end this year! They did a great job. It was fun watching Miles sing songs for his program.

 

More End of Year Activities

May was a whirlwind of running, track, soccer, band, jump rope, and more. It's so fun to see the kids excelling in the things they love!

 

Barry's Birthday

Barry turned 39 this year! We had a little surprise dinner with Amy and Bryant and tried to spoil him with gifts!

 

Storymakers

Last year I took a writing class with Julianne Donaldson. It's been really fun and inspiring to work on a hobby that I love. I'm part of a writing group that meets a few times a month. I went with my friend Sabrina to a Storymakers conference in May in Provo. It was an incredible experience learning from authors and being with so many creative people. I even met Lois Lowry as well as several other authors. I loved it!

 

Running Club

I'm super proud of how hard our kids work at running. This year for running club Warren was #1 for the most miles and Sawyer was #3!

 

Mother's Day

Miles made me a cookie flower for Mother's Day. I also got some pictures with the kids and we went on a nice walk near Hobb's Reservoir.
