Here are some things we've been up to since school started.
It was nice to have our days at home be a little quieter again with just Warren and Sawyer. Here they are blowing bubbles.

Quinton got an appliance for his teeth because he had a cross bite where one tooth went in front of his bottom teeth and one went behind. We had to tighten it every night and it took about 6 weeks to get it where it needed to go. He did such a great job at not losing the retainer right up until the end when it ended up in the garbage can in the school cafeteria. Hopefully his tooth will stay put without it. He felt horrible.
Our last hot dog and marshmallow roast of the season. Sawyer firmly believed he was big enough to roast his own marshmallow.
Warren struggled going to preschool at first. The first 5 or 6 times he absolutely refused to stay. I had to sit with him for circle time every single time. One day after he had cried and fought me for an hour I came home for a little peace. When Warren is at preschool, though, it's a little harder to keep tabs on Sawyer. So that day while Shari and I were talking, all of a sudden he was just GONE. We searched the whole house, high and low, ten times. Screamed his name outside and I even drove around the block because he was NOWHERE and it was silent. I was seconds away from calling the police when he finally made a peep in the deep corner of my closet behind the hamper where he was sneaking a Laffy Taffy. Nothing compares to the feeling of terror thinking you've lost a child! The little stinker. I made Warren take a nap that day along with Sawyer. Nap time is sometimes the best medicine for a rough mom day.

Connor found a preying mantis one day. The kids were fascinated. The mantis was probably not quite as amused.

Barry and I went out to dinner one night and saw this pumpkin driving down the road. It was HUGE!
I did some painting/counter remodeling in our TV room and Warren was a big helper. Here are some before and after photos. I covered the ugly tile counters with concrete and sealed it, painted the cupboards and replaced the handles, installed a new sink, put up boards around the seating area, built shutters, painted walls, and put up new curtains.
Quinton has to give his bed up when a visitor comes to stay. He must have been cold falling asleep in our room one night because he put on his mom's sweater to warm up.
The kids did a great job for the primary program. Warren didn't sing or say a word, but he sat with his class so we'll count that as a win!

I took a shower one day and came out to find Sawyer making an ice cream sundae with ALL the sprinkles, minus the ice cream. He made the kitchen (and himself) quite sparkly and sticky.
These crazy brothers are always wrestling and running I wish I had their energy!
