August

Fun times in August included Clara going to a birthday party for her friend, Morgan.
A new pool for the backyard (that killed what little life was left in our grass).
Barry cutting down our peach tree that died (sniff, sniff).
A date for Clara.
Braces for Warren.
We tie-dyed shirts, Nolan got a fun new van delivered to our house, and Miles loved picking all the cherry tomatoes in the garden.

Father/Son Campout

Barry took the three younger boys on an overnighter with the ward near Mantua. They had a great time!

Canada, eh?

I was blessed to be able to go on a trip to Penticton, Canada in August to a family reunion and to celebrate my Grandma Gardner's 90th birthday. We wanted to go as a whole family, but Covid restrictions made everything really complicated so I ended up traveling with just Shari and Jeni. It was so many hours in the car, it made me grateful the kids didn't have to travel that long. We made a couple fun stops at restaurants along the way and enjoyed catching up with cousins. Steve and Ben were there as well and Jeni and I floated down the river with them. And of course I had to get some poutine and nanaimo bars!

Brothers Hike 2022

The brothers hike was a little different this year. Barry was sick for their original trip and Charles started a new job and couldn't make the second trip and Bryant had to miss as well. So it ended up being Barry, Clara, Warren, Quinton, Triston, Connor, Elisha, Lincoln, Camden, Elisha, Ammon, Nolan, and Michael. They went to palisades and got up to all of their usual antics. Sawyer, Miles, and I stayed in Rigby and helped Shari paint her laundry room and had some fun too.

Youth Conference for Quinton and Clara

Quinton and Clara were able to attend a special ward conference at the beginning of August at Reid Ranch. Clara technically wasn't old enough, but they had a few open spots and invited her and a couple other young women to go. They had a blast playing games, riding horses, shooting archery, mountain biking, and more!
