Quinton and Clara wanted to earn money this summer and have worked so hard pressure washing trash cans in the neighborhood the past few weeks. It's hot, smelly, and they are covered head to toe in garbage juice, but they still get excited when someone else hires them for a job!

Swim Lessons
Clara, Warren, and Sawyer took swim lessons at the South Davis Rec Center this summer. They did so great! Sawyer (who completely refused to get in the pool for swim lessons last year) started swimming like a champ! They moved Warren the first day from level 1 to level 2 with Clara. Clara graduated to level 3 by the end. Warren and Sawyer took lessons again later in the summer and improved even more!

Independence Day
The 4th of July was a little quieter this year. We did a fun little bike parade in the neighborhood. Then enjoyed raspberries from the garden. Quinton, Clara, and I saw a Harry Potter movie at the theater. That night we enjoyed fireworks at home. Our neighborhood (and probably the whole state) went extra crazy with fireworks during this pandemic year. Many cities didn't do their fireworks, but the whole sky was still lit up.

June
June was a busy month! Sawyer lost his first tooth. He lost it in a bit of an alarming way. He had his string from his shorts in his mouth and it got stuck in his teeth, then when he pulled it out the tooth came with it! There was blood everywhere so I was a little worried, but he was okay and ended up excited for this milestone.
Barry ran a half marathon with Tristan from our ward. Tristan had a sprained ankle and they ended up going for over 6 hours, but they survived! Quinton and Clara ended up not doing it because we didn't love the idea of a nontraditional, virtual race.
Barry and I try to sneak off a date here and there more often now that the kids can watch themselves.
We made a quarantine video as a challenge from the Jenks family. It was fun, but a lot of work!
Quinton and Warren continue to love fishing.
We also went on a fun little hike in North Salt Lake with Amy and Sarah and their kids.

Trip to Wyoming
Barry had plans to do some fishing with Charles in June and at the last minute we all decided to join! Amy and Sarah's families went as well. It was a fun weekend together getting giant ice cream cones, playing at the reservoir, hiking to a waterfall slide (where I jumped in fully clothed to save Sawyer from drowning!), and hanging out with family. The kids were so exhausted all 5 of them fell asleep on the way home!
