December

December was extra busy this year welcoming Miles into the family. I couldn't do much, but luckily Dad and Grandma were there to entertain the kids. Clara was able to go to Mackayla's Nutcracker recital in Rexburg. The kids made cookies, gingerbread houses, and more cookies with Grandma. The week Miles came home, everyone got sick with coughing, fevers, and throwing up. It warmed my heart to come home and see all 5 kids snuggling with Grandma on the couch. I would have been lost without her help. Clara also got to go to temple square with Grandma to see Mackayla sing. Finally, we made it to Oakley for a night after Christmas to visit Granda and Grandpa Jenks. Even Miles and I tagged along.

Christmas

We had a perfect little Christmas together this year. The kids worked hard and acted out the nativity scene with the cutest baby Jesus. We received lots of amazing gifts and it snowed for a beautiful white Christmas. Barry and the kids had a snowball fight, went sledding, and made a GIANT snowman at the park. It was a wonderful day!

Christmas Visitors

Shari and her boys came on December 21st to go to a BYU basketball game. They all had a blast. They stayed for a couple of days so the kids could play and we could do a little Christmas celebrating. We had a Mongolian BBQ night and watched the Grinch. And it finally snowed enough for the kids to play in it. And of course, everyone got lots of snuggles in with Miles.

First Bath

Miles had such an audience for his first bath I could barely squeeze in to get some pictures of him. He seemed to like it!

Clara Turns 9!

This cutie patootie turned 9 years old! She had been excited for MONTHS for her birthday to come! It was fun to have Grandma Packer here with us to celebrate the Saturday before. She got breakfast in bed and we ate at the Burger Stop for lunch. We watched Leap! and she opened her presents. We made unicorn pops for her treat and she ended the day with ice skating and pizza in Salt Lake City with Barry and Quinton. Clara has a heart of gold and is always willing to help her family. She has a lot of dreams that I hope come true for her someday, I just hope she takes me along with her! She also had a presentation in her class on her actual birthday where she talked about her favorite Christmas tradition and played Jingle Bells on her new harmonica. She did great!
