Clara's Baptism

Clara made the great decision to be baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on January 21, 2017. It was made extra special because we got to have a special baptism just for her and Connor. Grandma Packer made her the most beautiful dress and a CTR cake. A lot of Jenks family was able to come and support her, too. Sister Smith talked about baptism and Grandma Packer talked about the Holy Ghost. All the cousins sang I am a Child of God. The font was nice and warm, but unfortunately the shower afterward was an icy, cold drizzle. We had lunch afterward. It was a wonderful day!

Downata Hot Springs

Barry wanted to do something fun with the older kids one weekend so he took them to stay at a cabin at Downata Hot Springs that had cots to sleep on. They played games and in the morning they went sledding. They all had a blast! Warren and Sawyer were stuck home with me and Shari, but we still had a good time together.

New Year

We had a little bit of a rough start for 2017. The kids went to school for 2 days after Christmas break and then had 2 snow days, followed by a couple more snow days that month. So we were all stuck in the house together a lot because it was so cold and miserable outside. Felt like it took awhile for life to start again. We did do some fun things, though. We went skating at Deleta January 2nd. The little boys played while Daddy skated with Quinton and Clara.

Quinton, Triston, and Connor had their Pinewood Derby on January 3rd. Quinton's car was pretty spiffy this year and though he wasn't first, he definitely improved over the last one.

Quinton got reading glasses. You can see how excited he was about that.

We went bowling at ISU one night.

Clara had her tumbling recital. We had to wait nearly 2 hours for it to be her turn, but she did so great! She learned a lot of new things.

Tis the Season

It's that time of year for seeing Mrs. Claus at preschool, making gingerbread houses, sledding, and getting sick!

Sawyer came into our room one morning and slept for a bit and wouldn't let me get out of bed. I finally escaped and he came into the kitchen a little later and threw up. He was sick for the next couple of days and would just find somewhere comfy and go to sleep. He's pretty cute when he doesn't feel good.

Grandma and Shari took the kids to the museum in Idaho Falls to see the nativities and to see the movie Storks while Barry and I were celebrating our anniversary. They also went sledding.

Clara had a fun day with her friend Makenzie making cookies.
