Clara's First Day of Dance

Clara started a dance class on August 21. She's such a cutie dressed up like a ballerina.

She did so good her first day we celebrated with an ice cream cone. I can't believe how old they are!

Warren at 4 Months

Has it really been four months? Warren is such a sweet baby. He makes our family complete and we love him so much!

Quinton's Haircut

Three years ago Barry was giving Quinton a haircut when he forgot to put the attachment on the clippers. This left a little buzzed spot, which meant his whole head had to get shaved. It grew back and I got over it. I thought, well, that's a mistake that will happen at least once in a person's life.

But then a few weeks ago history repeated itself.

No attachment = bald Quinton.

At least it made Warren feel good to have more hair than someone for once. And Quinton can pull off that look. But Barry is never allowed to cut Clara's hair.

Summer Fun

Here are some random moments from this summer.

We went on lots of walk to the park and the library for their summer reading program. The kids managed to turn a double stroller into a triple one thanks to their skinny bottoms.

Warren spent quite a bit of time licking our shoulders.

We made a sandbox out of an old tractor tire. So far it's been put to good use!

One of Warren's first smiles. His dimples are the best!

It even rained. Once. For about five minutes. Quinton and Clara grabbed their rain jackets and celebrated.

This isn't rain. This is Dad turning the hose on them while washing the car.

And of course Barry took Quinton and Clara fishing.

And fishing.

And fishing.
It just wouldn't be summer without worm juice and fish guts.

Camping at Baumgartner

Barry finally talked me into camping with a newborn. We went to Baumgartner campground near Featherville. It took us an extra long time to get there because of some closed roads due to wildfires, but once we made it, the kids were in heaven! Quinton absolutely loves being outdoors and building fires and playing in dirt and finding bugs. Clara loves roasting marshmallows most of all. We tried out our new bigger tent and even slept a little bit.

You can't tell it from this expression, but Warren is quite the happy little outdoor man.

There's a fun little hot pool in the campground thanks to a nearby hot spring.

Then we went on hike on their nature trail. The kids loved exploring.

Here's the hot spring.

Camping is a lot of work, but totally worth it for the memories.

Jenks Hike to White Clouds 2012

The Jenks' brothers hike was extra exciting this year because their Mom and sister Amy were brave and joined in on the fun.

Pioneer Day 2012

Pioneer Day in Oakley has become a fun tradition. We get to go to the parade, the fireworks, reunions, and visit with family. It was a little quiet this year (it was just us and two of Barry's brothers' families), but as good as ever.

Grandma and Grandpa Jenks

Barry played in the basketball tournament this year and had fun even though he hurt his ankle. The kids got the chance to run in a mile race. They did great! Clara stopped to pick a few flowers and talk about rocks along the way, but she never gave up and finished strong! They were happy with their juice and treats at the end.

Independence Day 2012

We enjoyed the 4th of July this year. We went the weekend before to visit with my family in Rigby. My brother Steve and his family were in town and it was so much fun celebrating! Rigby does their fireworks at the lake a few days before. The kids played in the water and sand for a very long time (fully clothed, of course). Then we visited and watched the fireworks.

On another day we went to the splash park and carousel in Rexburg. The kids loved it!

The Rexburg parade was full of fun and candy.

By the end, Quinton and Clara were a little exhausted. Before we had dinner on the 4th, Clara fell asleep on the couch. Quinton found her a little later and decided to join in.

They slept pretty much the whole trip home and we pulled into Mountain Home just in time to catch the fireworks here. It was a great week!
