Extreme Christmas Gifts

One of the gifts we gave Quinton and Clara for Christmas was a Groupon which included iFly, an indoor skydiving adventure, an hour of rock climbing, and an hour of indoor surfing. It was so fun to watch them fly! They thought it was pretty great. They said surfing wasn't easy, but they got better at it by the end and liked it.

 

Christmas

We had a nice Christmas at home this year. We made a fancy Italian dinner (kind of our tradition the last few years), the kids performed the nativity story, we opened pjs and exchange gifts, and read on Christmas Eve. The next morning we enjoyed opening presents, although Miles was sick and threw up all over himself, me, and the couch about two presents into it. He seemed to do okay after that. The boys tried out their new bike, scooter, and skateboard and I went on a 10.5 mile run to the Layton temple!

 

Christmas Break

We enjoyed Christmas preparations while school was out before Christmas. The kids made gingerbread houses (and later smashed them with a hammer). Warren and Sawyer went to a Jazz game with Barry and we played at the rec center. We celebrated our 15th anniversary and Barry and the kids surprised me with a candlelight dinner. That same night a mysterious teenage boy showed up at the door and asked, "Is your mom here?" and though I didn't recognize him, I took the card he gave me to find out after he'd gone it had $110 in gift cards in it! It may always be a mystery who the secret Santa was.

 

Clara Turns 13!

I'm in a bit of denial that my girl is 13 years old. Why does she have to grow up so stinkin' fast? She is such a bright light in our family, always thinking of others and doing her best. She spent the afternoon watching Encanto at the Kaysville Theater with her friends Morgan, Chloe, and Emma. We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant with Grandma and Grandpa Decker and walked through the Christmas village lights in Ogden. A couple days later we took her on a birthday date to Mod Pizza.

 

Miles Turns 4!

For the last nine months, Miles asked nearly every day "How much longer until my birthday?!" And finally the day came for him to turn four! We took him to get Chinese noodles on a date. He got to be king for the day at preschool and we played at Get Air with his friends Elsie and Spencer. He loved breakfast in bed, presents, and going to Classic Fun Center as a family. 

Miles keeps life exciting and always makes us smile. He randomly tells us "You the best!" and is a constant little shadow. So glad he came along to complete our family.
