Lagoon!

It's so fun living right by Lagoon. I worked there again this spring to get more passes for us and Shari. We've put them to good use! It was also fun when Amy brought Gage and Sarah's kids for a day. Sarah's family moved to Oakley just after that so we'll miss having them in Utah.

 

Barry Gets Even Older

Barry turned 38 this year! We celebrated by letting him fish alone (where he found a dead giant fish with a small fish stuck in its throat), throwing some water balloons around, and roasting things over a fire. He and I also went on a nice dinner date to Pie and Fry in Ogden

Back to Church

We finally got to go back to in-person church every week with classes! I was so happy. We had been going every other week to just sacrament, but it wasn't enough. Being back in primary has been so wonderful. And Miles is now officially a Sunbeam. He kind of skipped over that last year of nursery, but he was excited to be a big boy in primary. He made some pretty awesome faces for the camera.

 

Soccer

I didn't get a lot of great pictures of soccer this spring, but Sawyer and Warren really loved playing. They improved a lot this year!

 

Warren Goes on a Scavenger Hunt

Warren hasn't had a primary activity in over a year (Thanks, COVID) so it was pretty exciting when they started back up again. For the first one they combined with the girls and went on a scavenger hunt through the neighborhood.

 

Classic Fun Center

The kids love Classic Fun Center and after not going there for over a year, they were happy to be back! They earned it by participating in a family class we watched (it took a few months!). I have to say, the teenagers at the prize counter have a lot more patience than I do.

 

Wild Rose Hike

On Mother's Day everyone obliged my wishes for a hike on the Wild rose Trail. I also wanted pictures with each of my kids. Quinton especially loved that!

 

Chickens!

Can you believe Barry talked me into getting chickens? Well, they're here now. They started as chicks in our basement and after a few hiccups, they now have a nice coop and run outside. Barry built the run and finished off the coop. Sawyer worked hard to paint the inside and I had to get a picture of Barry and Clara crammed in there one day to make the nesting boxes.

Update: On July 9th we got our first egg!
