Adams Canyon Hike

We have really enjoyed going on hikes as a family. We returned to Adams Canyon a second time to try and see the bigger waterfall at the top. We didn't quite make it because the last little stretch was pretty treacherous, but there were still some beautiful falls where we did go. We also packed the burner to heat some water and make noodles for dinner. After hiking the kids were RAVENOUS. They ate those noodles like there was no tomorrow! I'm so proud of how far they can go.

Half Marathon

After 12 weeks of hard training and running in all sorts of weather, Barry, Quinton, and I ran the Revel Mt. Charleston Half Marathon in Las Vegas. We drove down on Friday, woke up around 3am Saturday and ran our best. At the top of the mountain, it was freezing. The first 8 miles were downhill, but it warmed up quickly and the last 2 miles were hot and more difficult. I was so proud of Quinton. I can't believe he ran so far at only 11 years old. It was fun to go with Jared, Gage, Josh, and Camden. We stayed at the Texas Station and ate at their buffet after we ran.

Heather's Birthday

I'm definitely turning into an old lady. The things I look forward most to on my birthday include a nap and birthday cards! Haha. I had a fun day getting spoiled by my family. My favorite part was our hike to a waterfall up Adams Canyon.

Warren's Easter Birthday

Warren turned 7 this year! He has grown so independent in the 1st grade. He is reading so well! He has a fun personality and keeps us all in line. Warren lost his first tooth just a few days before his birthday. He was so excited. For something fun to do, we went to Lagoon, dyed eggs, and had an Easter egg hunt since Easter was the next day. He wanted a Squirtle cake this year and enjoyed his Pokemon cards, basketball hoop, and other gifts.

Grandma and Jeni Visit

Grandma and Jeni stayed with us for a few days in April while they attended a conference. They took some breaks to hang out with us, too. We went to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum. It's HUGE and filled with so many neat things. I went to Tucanos and the family history center with them, which was fun. Grandma also did an Easter egg hunt for the kids.

Wyoming Trip

We took a trip on Thursday of Spring Break to go visit Charles's family in Wyoming. We stopped for ice cream (in the middle of nowhere) and drove several hours (through more nowhere) to where they live (just this side of nowhere) in Pavilion. It was so fun to spend time with them, though. Charles took Barry on a guided fishing tour. The cousins all had a blast playing together at their house and at the park. Barry, Quinton, and I ran 10 miles. Unfortunately, Miles became very sick Friday night. He had a really high fever and threw up his medicine. We almost took him to the hospital, but managed to keep his fever under control until we got back to Utah Sunday night. He had a bad ear infection.
