Family Vacation to Cedar City and Zion National Park

It was so exciting to go on a vacation with just our family over Fall Break. We rented a house in Cedar City, which allowed to us to spread out. It was really nice. We visited Park Discovery, which was neat. Then we visited a museum that showed a lot of amazing pioneer things. The kids really liked panning for gold. I loved the old houses. That night we all got $5 to pick out something to contribute to dinner. We ended up with Eggos, fruit, noodles, meatballs, yogurt drinks, and pizza bites. We played a lot of games together.
The next day we went to Zion National Park. It was super crowded! We had to wait in line just to pay for our parking spot. After taking a shuttle, we finally made it on a hike. It was really beautiful. We were all pretty worn out that day.
On Saturday we headed home. I got a famous cinnamon roll from Pahoran, Utah. Then we stopped in Provo to go to the Bean museum, which is full of stuffed animals. It was pretty awesome. We finished the trip by seeing Incredibles 2 at the theater.

Mackayla's Farewell

Mackayla was called to the Mesa, Arizona mission. We were able to spend the weekend in Idaho visiting before she left. We will miss her! Grandma also took us all to Idaho Drug to the soda fountain.

We went to the fire station open house one night. It was fun to ride in the fire engine!

Family Pictures

Barry's cousin, Lesli, took our family photos for us this year. It's nice to have Miles in them! We took them at Nicholl's park near our house. Afterwards we took the kids to Sill's cafe for scones and fries.

Lagoon Trail

During the Sunday conference sessions we took the kids out for a little "hike" on Lagoon trail. It was beautiful and neat to see the animals, but very crowded! Someone even proposed to his girlfriend on the trail. General conference was pretty exciting with the announcement that church will be 2 hours next year. Definitely one to remember!
