Museum of Idaho

On January 23, we went to Idaho Falls to the Museum of Idaho. They had an exhibit about baby dinosaurs and dinosaur eggs. It was a lot of fun. the kids also liked the kids discovery room they could play in. Afterward we met Shari and Jeni at Jump Time where the kids got to jump on all the trampolines and we ate at Pizza Pie Cafe to celebrate Connor's 7th birthday.

Quinton and Warren bought these neat dinosaur dig toys at the gift shop. They spent hours getting all of the bones out to assemble their dinosaurs and they loved it!

January

Making snowflakes with Daddy

Making cupcakes when Clara could finally eat again after getting her tonsils out.

Quinton and I went on a date to Subway one night. He was very proud of his big sandwich.

Warren and Sawyer have been loving play-dough lately.

Had to capture his cracker mustache

Clara and Warren have been sharing a room in our new house and they get along pretty well in there. One morning they took their blankets and pillows out by the fireplace to get cozy.

Utah Trip

The second weekend in January we had a great time on a trip to Utah. We celebrated Amy's birthday on Saturday with a little surprise party for her. That night, all the boys went to a BYU basketball game. Amy and I took Clara, Sidra, and Grace out to Scheel's for a Ferris wheel ride and some fun. We also stayed and went to church on Sunday with Sarah and Josh.

A New Student

Warren started attending ABC Express Preschool in January. He was a little leery at first. And didn't really want Mom to leave.

He was still excited, though. (I love this pose. It looks like he's going to take on the world with his Spiderman snow boots.)
He also started as a Sunbeam in primary. He's still adjusting to that.

Clara's Surgery

On December 29th, Clara got her tonsils out, adenoids out, and tubes put in her ears. She was such a good patient and had a great recovery. The biggest reason for the surgery was to help release the fluid behind her ears so she can hear better. And to help with her snoring and mouth breathing. So far so good! That meant a pretty quiet end of the year for us so we just stayed home for New Years.

I'll be Home for Christmas

A few days before Christmas we had a HUGE snowstorm one day. I think it was just under a foot of snow in one day and it was a challenge to keep up with the shoveling. These guys made it more fun.

Unfortunately on Christmas Eve Sawyer broke out with some type of allergic reaction. He was red all over! I took him to the urgent care and they think it was from one of the vaccines he got two days earlier. It soon went away, but we'll see what the future holds for that.

Making gingerbread nativities with Triston and Connor using all of the Halloween candy leftovers. Thank goodness they're finally gone! And I didn't get picture of the finished products. Dang it.

This was the very first year in our nine years of marriage that we got to spend Christmas in our own home. We loved being able to sleep in our own beds, not pack up a hundred gifts, and be a little more relaxed. Here is our candlelight dinner of chicken nuggets and other fried goodness.

Barry got a very nice Christmas tree this year! I got warm fuzzies every time we turned on the lights and I saw all our stockings there in a row.

It's not always easy to get a decent photo of these guys, but here's there Christmas pajamas.

Christmas Morning!

Clara's 7th Birthday

This cutie turned 7 this year! What a sweet heart she is. She definitely is a cuddly, sparkly, pink little lady (who happens to like all things cuddly, sparkly, and pink) and brings a special light into our home.
She wanted a Beanie Boo candy birthday cake. It was the most fun I've had making a cake and she loved it! Yes, it is all just candy glued into a tower. It was awesome. We celebrated with some family at Leo's Place in Idaho Falls (for the 3rd year in a row) and had a blast.

Quinton's Baptism

We're so proud of Quinton for choosing to get baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on December 5th. It was a wonderful day with lots of family. His Packer and Jenks Grandparents, Aunts Jeni, Shari, Amy, and Sarah all came to celebrate. Amy's and Sarah's families sang a beautiful music number. Quinton was baptized by his dad and confirmed by Grandpa Packer. Uncle Jared and Grandpa Jenks were witnesses. After the baptism we had a soup lunch at our house and had fun visiting.
