Ogden Temple and Lagoon

We went on a fairly last minute trip at the end of August to Utah and stayed with Sarah's family. We went to the Ogden temple open house with Grandma Packer, Shari, Triston, and Connor. The kids weren't quite as reverent as we would have liked, but it was beautiful. Then we had ice cream at the Farr's factory afterward.

The next day we had an amazingly fun time at Lagoon. I really thought it would end up with kids in tears and fits for most of the day, but they all did great! They kept going and going until 9pm as we tried to cram in as many rides as possible. Sawyer was content most of the day and Warren ended up loving the rides (I wasn't sure he would).  We had fun with Grandma Packer, Shari's, and Jeni's families. We were so glad we could take our kids and make some fun memories.

On Sunday we were able to go to church with Sarah, Nancy, and Amy and have dinner with them afterward. It was great to see them!

Thousand Springs

The weekend after Warren got his cast off and school started, we took a trip to Thousand Springs resort near Hagerman. It was really neat to set up our tent trailer right by the river and see all of the springs coming out of the cliffs. Barry and the kids fished right off the dock. Quinton got really upset when we would ask him to put down his pole to come and eat or sleep or anything else really. He loves fishing!

The next day we explored the fish hatchery and Ritter Island. It was beautiful. Ritter Island used to be a cattle ranch that someone donated to the state. We explored the old barn there and took a little hike to see more waterfalls.

We finished the day by swimming at Thousand Springs Resort. It's a really fun pool with a slide and big log you can try to stay on. Quinton and Clara are getting really good at swimming!

It was a fun, but exhausting two days. Warren didn't even make it through the bedtime story when we got home that night.

First Day of School

School started August 13th. Look how big these two are! I'm sure before I know it they'll be moving away to college, but for now we're enjoying elementary school. Clara has Ms. Mosley for kindergarten. Quinton has Mrs. Gaines for 1st grade. He's especially excited about recess and lunch at school this year!

Quinton and Clara did great at swim lessons this year! We even wrapped Warren's cast up one day so he could play on the splash pad.

A fun day at PoJo's in Boise

We were excited to have a short visit from Steve, Tammy, Rachel, and Sophie.

Sawyer's Blessing

Sawyer's blessing day was on August 3, 2014. It was a wonderful day filled with with family, friends, and food. Some of our visitors included Packer grandparents, Jenks grandparents, the Lanes, the Bybees, Michael and family as well as some Taiwanese exchange students, Bryce and Sydnee, and Shane and Ashlee Jenks. We had dinner at the church afterward. Jeni took some pictures for us before, and it was a very warm day! Warren was still in his grumpy cast phase so it was hard to get him to sit still and smile.

It was fun having visitors for a couple days. The kids love, love, love when Triston and connor come over. We made boats to go in a raingutter and also had snow cones at the park.

Sometimes the fun things Mom plans aren't exactly what these guys have in mind. Hence the grumpy faces!
